1928 CHEVROLETBOAT TAIL SPEEDSTERALL STEEL BODY Happy Holidays everyone and thank you for viewing my listing. I am marketing a customized designed and skillfully built 1928 Chevrolet Boat Tail Speedster with an all steel body (the automobile is titled as a 1928 Chevrolet Sedan). This really appealing vehicle was developed and built on an original 1928 Chevrolet chassis and powered by an initial 4 cylinder Chevrolet motor by a really skilled, noteworthy builder of Speedsters in the Pacific Northwest having designed and developed lots of in the last 30 years. I purchased the car for my partner who revealed an interest in having something attractive and very unusual, maybe a convertible or preferably an open-cowl Roadster or Speedster to drive leisurely about the old and narrow streets of Historic Key West, Florida. The photos stand for the Speedster as refined and sophisticated, which she is anything however. This the oldest auto that I have ever bought and driven, and not surprisingly, she does not drive like our 2011 Cadillac Sedan. And while my better half drooled over the method the vehicle is developed and the amazing attention it gathers (while cleaning the automobile there were no less than 30 people that visited and asked to take photos of the car in the span of an hour), this 1928 Chevy Speedster is throaty, very loud and raw, the vehicle does not have power steering and my partner has a difficult time turning the guiding wheel when the automobile is sitting still or attempting to park at really low speed, the "Beast" likewise does not have power brakes. I personally do not have any trouble driving, turning the steering wheel or braking the vehicle, however if you are a tiny 95 pound girl with thin arms and long fingernails, this might not be the automobile for you. It was revealed to me by the contractor that this Speedster was brilliantly created and fabricated to easily seat two complete grown 6 5, 265 pound travelers (each) with lots of elbow, shoulder and leg space for both passengers, which is something that a lot of early pre war Speedsters can not claim as the cockpit is customarily "tight" in most early racers. I need to also add that my partner can not kick back fully in the seat of the Speedster and be able reach the full size wooden steering wheel, the cockpit is incredibly huge! While driving the vehicle at about 15-20 miles per hour, there was a some vibration on the front end after hitting the vibration but a hole will cease when you reduce or turn the steering wheel a bit, but at 45 mils per hour the Speedster appears to handle perfectly. Here in Key West, Florida the top speed limit is 35 miles per hour so I haven't had the chance to drive the automobile faster than 45 miles per hour. The engine has been skillfully restored and 100 % trusted and the motor ignites on the second or very first crank with a little depression of the gas pedal, whenever. The car has a new paint task used by the designer and contractor and the huge wire wheels have been well balanced and professionally powder covered with brand brand-new "vintage" LUCAS tyres directly from the company. There is definitely no rust ANYWHERE on this car. Consisted of in the sale is virtually half a gallon of the really costly green paint utilized to repaint the vehicle with the hardener. I also have the paint codes for the yellow powder coat on the wire rims if the new owner desires a spare (a back or side installed extra tyre would be a lovely addition to this vehicle). The windshield frame is designated in brass along with the cowl hinge locks. The under carriage is amazingly clean with ZERO rust! Ill try to get to a lift in the next couple of days and get some images of all-time low of the automobile. I know definitely nothing about fixing or preserving old cars but although this automobile is 86 years old, it has been specified by the contractor that it is totally reliable and the motor runs perfectly which I do confirm and the vehicle does not run hot even right here in the 90 degree pleasant Florida afternoons. I delight in buying and driving unusual and lovely financial investment grade vehicles, however I do not recommend this, or any almost 90 years of age auto to any individual.
